For a long time, I knew something wasn't quite right. I dealt with acne and inflammation, digestive issues, hormonal issues, insomnia, anxiety, and so much more. I was constantly trying to figure out what my body was trying to tell me.
At the same time, I was building my career as an esthetician.
I've been an esthetician for 10 years, and I love skincare. I spent years learning how to understand the skin, care for it, and treat it from the outside. But when it came to my own skin, I couldn't figure out why I was still struggling.
I was eventually diagnosed with PMOS (previously named PCOS), and that diagnosis was a big part of what pushed me to learn more about my health.
I didn't want to just manage individual symptoms. I wanted to understand what was happening in my body and how all of these pieces could be connected.
That's what led me to become a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.
The more I learned about nutrition, digestion, blood sugar, hormones, stress, and sleep, the more I started seeing my health differently. I could finally see how the things I had been experiencing weren't necessarily separate problems.
That's what eventually became Magic & Wellness: a place where I can bring together the two areas I'm most passionate about, holistic esthetics and nutritional therapy.
Because your skin doesn't exist in isolation.
Your skin is influenced by what's happening throughout your body, including your digestion, hormones, blood sugar, stress, sleep, and the food you're eating.
That's why I look at skincare from both sides: what we're putting on your skin and what's supporting your body underneath it.
Because sometimes the best way to understand your skin is to look beyond your skin.
